GMS is collecting all cans and bottles recyclable in NY for our bottle drive! For the next few weeks, ask your neighbors, friends and family to save their bottles for us. On July 27th between 9-4pm, bring the collected bottles to Greece Montessori School, or have us pick them up from your house. To arrange pick up, call (585) 472 - 2115.

A fun day at the ballpark!

We had such a great time at the Red Wings game! It was a perfect day to be outside; we sat in the sun, ate popcorn and ice cream, and cheered the Red Wings to victory! The stadium had super heros, a bounce house, and our favorite mascots. There was lots to do and enjoy together. Thanks everyone who came out for the fun!

A HUGE "thank you" to our neighbors at Green Acres

Green Acre Farm & Nursery on Latta Road generously donated more than a ton of gravel for us to use in our playground. This addition enhances the play space and offers an option for the children to dig and play in, along with the mulch that we had installed previously. The children are loving the space already, and their generous donation takes it up a notch! Thank you so much to the team at Green Acre Farm & Nursery!

The Garden Bed is Blossoming with Activity!

Today one of our parent volunteers came in to help the children plant in our garden bed! Vegetables, flowers, and herbs were carefully planted and watered by children from all classes. This experience will enrich us all summer long as we tend to our plants and help them to take root and grow!

Our first community fundraiser was a success!

We broke (Panera) bread in the community and raised some dough for our school! We ended up raising around $225. It was great to see so many of our families participate bu either dining in, going through drive through, or ordering take out. Thanks for showing your support!

Thanks to all our weekend warriors!

We had a big morning at the school and made a lot of progress. We dug out the area for the digging garden, put down weed barrier, and placed all the logs/stumps for the border and within the garden.
We just need to secure some mulch or stones and it will be ready to play in. Few photos attached!

Our Garden Mural is Complete!

The children painted our garden mural this week, and it looks beautiful! We love the bright colors and designs that our budding artists chose; this mural is the perfect personalized addition to our playground space in our backyard.

Our Collaborative Masterpiece

One of our families has started a mural that we will display in the yard. Next week, the children will help paint flowers on it, bringing a splash of color and fun to the yard! More photos coming soon as the piece is installed and perfected with the young artists' help!

The children are rolling up their sleeves in our new raised garden beds! Today, some of our older friends took turns preparing the soil and digging a hole for our beautiful flowers. We are taking full advantage of these beautiful spring days, and are delighted that we can already start to enjoy our backyard space!

Greece Montessori School families, friends, and staff are invited out for a fun afternoon to cheer on the Rochester Red Wings from behind home plate! All of the ticket sale proceeds will go towards funding our playground project. Special game day promotions include: "Marvel Superhero" day, "Spikes & Mittsy's Birthday Party", and "Kids Run the Bases" after the game!
